Yin + Chill
Open to all levels, Lava Flow is Lava's signature class designed to get you moving, breathing, and sweating it out. Each class is designed in a vinyasa style with creative sequencing and music to match the flow. Class is heated at 90-95 degrees.
Slow Flow
A vinyasa-style class that is paced a little more slowly than Lava Flow. You can expect longer holds in postures, more frequent restorative postures, but still a good sweat. Room is heated to 90-95 degrees.
Barre
Barre at Lava is a thoughtfully sequenced, low-impact, invigorating class that weaves elements of barre, mat Pilates, stretching, and expressive movement. Each class begins with a mobilizing warm-up, then we'll move through both standing and on-the-mat patterns. Using props like light hand weights, a barre, and blocks, (always optional) we'll tap into core and overall body strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. This class is warm and welcoming for all, with plenty of options and modifications offered throughout.
This class is heated to 85 degrees F.
FIT is a hybrid cardio and strength training class that uses treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines, kettle bells, dumbbells and TRX. Each class is 60 minutes and located at our studio in Catskill at 344 Main Street. Please bring clean athletic shoes with you, and we ask that you not wear outdoor shoes in the studio. This studio is kept at 68-70 degrees.
FIRE is an excellent opportunity to add something new to your yoga practice. This all levels class will challenge, motivate and energize you. FIRE provides a full body workout that incorporates light hand weights in a Lava flow class. These classes include sun salutations, yoga super sets (yoga poses with and without weights, balances, core work, cardio blasts), restorative poses and stretches. No two classes are alike, so prepare to sweat and have a ton of fun!
Yin + Chill is a Yin yoga class that works deeply into the joints, spine, and deeper tissues of the body. You’ll experience long holds of grounding postures, using props such as bolsters and blocks to support the body and deepen your poses. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and elongated after every class. Yin + Chill is great for all levels and is especially recommended to balance a more “yang” practice, such as Hot, Power, or FIT.
